    Interactive Video Installation
    2005, Paris, France
    Created forĀ ICHIM 2005: Transmissions

This work was inspired by people's tics: the uncontrollable, incomprehensible, and unmentionable bodily movements that carry so much personality and affect. The installation consists of four screens with four mounted camera and real-time video analysis and display software. With these cameras, An[tic] observes and analyzes the bodily movements of those facing her. She looks for tics; if she finds them, she isolates, repeats and exaggerates them; if she doesn't find them, she invents them. She also plays with the senses of time and memory present in the four mirror-like displays.
