I worked on Malleable Mobile Music, a project of Atau Tanaka's underway at Sony CSL in Paris. One application of this project was a music engine integrated into a pervasive game designed by Sabiha Ghellal of Sony Net Services. She describes the aims of this project here.
In short, I made a real-time music engine that generates music for a pervasive game, and streams it to mobile devices used by the players of the game. This engine takes into account the state of each player in the game (her location, her proximity to vilains, her health, etc.) and generats music correspondingly.
