  • Description

The sound installation "Serenity and Serendipity [Madras-Madrid Version]" is a reflection--through the lens of our recent experiences in India and Sri Lanka--on what we know, what we don't know, and what we go through to bring the two closer. We make extensive use of field recordings of spiritual events we attended (from palm leaf readings to Theyyem ceramonies), as well as urban and rustic sonic environments we traveled through and musical performances we caught. This version uses an analog-digital spatialiation system diffused through a twenty-four-channel suspended loud speaker installation.
