This work continues a series of works titled Animal Warmth, for coordinated light and sound. Animal Warmth (64) is an installation for sixty light bulbs that are controlled by real-time software to express a never-ending, never-repeating variety of moods. These moods span synchrony and asynchrony, phasing, rhythmic correspondence, and trickery. Each bulb has a sound associated with it and, with the flashing light, rings with a unique pure tone as it comes to life and fades out.
Concept, electronics, hardware and sound design by Ali Momeni.
Big thanks to Robb Godshaw for his immense help in installation.
